Doug, I will bow to your expirience on which turbo will & won't get to 600 hp.
But as to a Full B-1 or bigger being comfortable driving on the street, with an Auto, I disagree. Your's may be...but don't you have many different internal parts...cam etc?

Maybe we just drive differently....but I would not be comfortable (in my automatic) with anything bigger than Mach 4's....and working with any kind of a load on board, had smoke issues with just a KSB-1....especially in 6 months a yr of 90*+.

blackdiesel02,

Dang I hate it when that happens.....

SPS66 or Steroid B-1
Really good pump
F-1 Mach 4's
AFE mega-cannon
4K spring kit + valvesprings

A standard B-1 or the HX55 will not flow enough air with a 12v or 24v to support 600 RWHP.

You don't need pistons and a cam to get 600!

rjohnson,

I don't have any problem driving with an auto mach 6's and a steroid B-1 even before a cam change. You are correct in saying what works for one doesn't work for another..... I have a friend that runs a B-1-2, Mach 4's, with an auto and he sure makes a lot more smoke than I do. Driving styles make a huge difference. I am able to tow a 8K horse trailer with the mach 6's and current turbo with no problems (although the box is off). The 6's don't smoke any worse than the 4's unless you are really hammering it.

jetpilot, just out of curiosity, what advantages does the sps66 have over the htb2 sledpuller?

For someone new to diesels...24v, and don't get a HO.

IMHO,

You can find the sledpuller 66 at http://www.htturbo.com/ and the Phat Shaft 66 at http://www.industrialinjection.com/. I'm not sure what exaust housing comes on the Phat Shaft, but the largest housing you can get for Sledpuller is a 14 and I think it would be a little restictive at over 600 hp. As for reaching 600 on a single, like ever one else has said, it can be done.I seen Don Morrison do 620 a couple of years ago and the truck wasn't that laggy on the dyno. Later that year with alittle tuning, he got it up somewhere aroung 680 I believe. Hope this helps, Darl Absher III

Dumb question from a semi newbie gasser convert. Exactly how streetable would 600HP be? Wouldnt you have to worry about flooding the crankcase with fuel at low boost and finding the head in the neighbors yard with all that preasure? I know in a gasser it could be done but engine life is extreamly short and the milage would kill ya severly.

Doug.........don't you think the 600 to be made with stock pistons would be hard to keep. I don't see 600 staying around very long with the stockers. At least not the pistons, staying.

If yr EGTs are decent the pistons are going to last , if u drive with 1500+ alot say 75% of the time then u will have piston problems , water/meth is more harmfull to pistons than N20 ( i know ) A Gt42 can push 600+ Don made what 680 like 2 yrs ago ? and that turbo sells for under 1000$ ,,add 800$ and u can have dual BB option
