Hey all, I got a 4" straight pipe and was looking into getting a 6" tip to put on it. Curious if any of you out there have done that and if so how much of a noticeable change in sound did it have for you. I like the sound of my straight pipe but want something louder yet. I found one on xtremediesel.com for $89 and was wondering if that was a typical price that I could expect. Thanks for the help.

 

yup thats where i got mine and it changed the sound of my 7.3. it got a deeper and better sound to it plus the dual sixs that are 24 inch long just look out of this world.

 

I have that setup with pics in my gallery. It will deepen the sound a little, but dont expect a whole lot. Mainly they just look awesome, and the longer the tip is, the more difference it will make in sound.

Logan its still not louder than my truck and i only have one. It changes the sound alot i dunno which one your looking at the 18 or the 24 but mine is a 24 and it echos through there pretty good.

 

i bought a 6 inch angle cut rolled edge tip, 18inch long from a local shop here for 68$ with tax ;x Its a 6in to 4inch but only goes down to four inch at the very last inch or so.. and doesnt have a flat part at the end for a clamp, so it must be welded.. i got it on and it looks and sounds nice.. a little different tone than the 5 inch tip i had on there before.

So with that tip that you got off of extremediesel.com did that simply clamp on or how does it attach. I cant tell by the pic on their website and wasnt really sure. Thanks
