has anyone ever switched a 6 speed out for a 5 speed? the 5 speed is so much easier to speed shift when racing. What all would be invloved in changing?

 

It is basically a bolt up. The driveshaft has to get lengthened 5 1/2 to 6 inches. The mount may bolt up in the shorter holes of the crossmember. You will need the bottom half of the shifter, the actual lever will screw on. I bet a clutch company can supply a clutch disk with the right spline although the nv4500 uses a smaller clutch. I went the other way 5 to 6.

 

well i will give you my 5 speed and my 13.25 con fe and kick in a couple hundres for your 6 speed.
