6.0

My buddy says his friend has a 6.0 and he dynos with 750 hp.I've seen the truck running around and it doesn't seem fast.theres no way one of those can make that kind of power is there? My buddy likes to embelish I think.I thought the 6.0 was the worst diesel to hotrod.Does anyone think its possible? What kind of mods would it have to make that?I've seen it drive and it doesnt even smoke.I wanna show my buddy that dodge rules because he drives a 6.5 and he brags about that too

Actually if you can keep it in one piece the 6.0s can make some decent power with very few mods. I know of one truck in my area that was putting down low 400s on the dyno with just a box, intake and exhaust. I don't recall ever seeing or hearing about one making more then about 550 though.

One of my friends sled pulls with a 6.0. And with injectors programmer and fuel system it is making over 600 he is waiting on a turbo and we are hoping more. The only problem is to build a 6.0 the first thing you need is headstuds, I mean right off the showroom floor you need headstuds.

I've also heard to change injectors, you have to pull the whole cab off the chasis. To make that kind of hp, I'd think you'd need injectors. If you had 750 hp in one, you'd have more $ than brains.

No you dont they change out just as easy as a 7.3 (if you call that easy) They do take more money to build than I have, but its fun to help out even though it is a FERD.

The 6.0 can be very strong after headgaskets and headstuds, you could get it that high but the number one problem is it isn't proven. It is already a risk to take these engines to extreme horsepower and the Cummins is already proven itself!

Uhh, Neil where did you come up with this from? I've read and re-read each post in this thread and I don't see where anyone was talking about a 6.5
