5" or 6" single

Hey all, my truck currently has a 5" straight pipe, I am thinking about going with a single stack.

I would kinda like to go 6" possibly in a turn out or a 5" in a flat cut. I like the 6" turn out idea, however I am concerned about how loud it will be, for middle of the night fire runs.

So, which would all you experienced stack guys suggest, while trying to keep it reasonable?

i personally like the look of the mitre cut for the single stack setup, and would definitely go w/ atleast a 6in, if not 7in. as far as sound it shouldn't be that much louder than the straight pipe you have now.

I love the look of a single 7".
And as for sound it shouldn't be much louder than your current setup.

I know lots of guys with single stacks and they look really sharp. ive rode in my buddys ford that has a single stack and its LOUD inside. I couldnt imagine how loud my truck would be inside I would hate it. if you get a turnout you can aim it away from the truck and it will blow out or back

Well I have a 6" single miter cut off-centered to the pass. side and it's awesome. It's pretty dang loud! I'm on my local VFD and those late night calls jus give me a good reason to step into the throttle. Plus the stack sends a killer pattern of smoke behind me whenever i feel like it.

I've got an 8" mitre. Its ******* loud. Much louder than my 5" was. It may also be because its not quite clearing my cab. I need to raise it up about 6" and i'll be happy i think. Other than that, I love it.
