Bumb it out of 4x4 after 1st gear. It shifts out smooth and from my understanding the only thing that will stay locked up until you let off the throttle is the axle disconnect that is vaccum operated. But i see you have an 02' so you have a whole different setup, not sure about those.

I have a buddy that runs low 13's and did probably 20 races over the course of 6 months launching at roughly 40lbs of boost finally broke his at weekend on the edge. It was his first run with a hot rod vp44. But maybe they all dont hold up that well...

Good luck with the racing

Kyle

After 10-12 practice street launches, happened to check Mag-Hytec rear end fluid. the accumulation on the dip stick magnet was alarming so checked drain plug magnet. Scary!!!

Both magnets were covered about 1/16" thick with black shavings. Much more than ever found at normal change intervals. I guess this makes sense but leads me to ask if anyone has had problems with Dana 70 rear ends as a result of drags?

Anyone in Dallas/OKC area - Street Racer Day at Drag Strip in Ardmore,OK, on this Sat, the 4th.....about 70 miles North of Dallas on I-35. Starts at noon. Probably a lot more casual than Ennis...will be checking it out. May run if new turbo is broken in by then.
No WEB site - this is real country racing; PM me for directions if interested! Would love to have a few CTD's there.
