??? 4x2 Lift kits?????

??? 4x2 Lift kits?????
Howdy! I was wondering if someone could tell me if you can put a 4x4 lift kit on a 4x2 truck. I have a 2000 dodge 1 ton with cummins 24 valve and it is a 4x2 unfortunately, and my last truck a 4x4 2000 1500 with 360 was so much taller. I really like the taller look. Do 4x2's look dumb with a lift kit? Thanks for any input!Being 16 I don't know much about diesels and this stuff yet and my first cummins.
