What is the difference between the 96-98 47re and the 98.5-99 re? I know the 2000+ has different od/lock-up solenoids and governor sensor, but all the part numbers I checked were the same from 96-99. Will a 96/97 2500/3500 auto pcm be able to control the OD and lock-up for the solenoids in my current VB(99)?

 

I don't know for sure, but I thought the only differences were the pressure sensor, and I think it changed in 00? 96-99 should be the same. I'd contact whatever it takes transmission (wittrans.com) they have been pretty helpful for me in the past on details like this. Good luck.

 

Thanks, yes the 2000+ od/lock-up solenoids and OD switched. I contacted the builder of the transmission, but have not heard anything back yet.
