4" exhaust Clearance Concern
Having recently installed a 4" exhaust on my truck I have a small concern.
There is a transmission line under the turbo that is close to the exhaust. I have tried to bend the line out of the way, but could only move it to within 1/4".
Is this enough clearance? Is there some kind of heat shield available? Is this a normal condition? Should I wrap the line in some sort of heat tape?
Sorry about all the questions, but, I am at a loss.
Thanks
Tony

Sounds like the line that goes to the heat exchanger? Is it the section of line that is rubber (the part that has the anti drain back).
I would do something. Header wrap sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the heads up. I will be doing a 4 inch system soon. Will pick up some insulation as well.
Have others noticed this problem/conern? Thanks, Kevin
