I found this schwitzer turbo, older model, for $89. It has a 64mm compressor wheel and a 70mm exhaust wheel but the exhaust housing has two mounting flanges. Is it worth any time to buy this and try to change the housing? Anyone have any info on it? Thanks.

 

I'd call htt to see if they could match a housing to it. Sounds pretty close in size to the ones they sell.

 

You gonna start sled pulling?

Older turbo off Detroits and Tractors, strong as hell, oddball main bearing design for increased thrust load. Slow spooler, but like any turbo, can be modified!

 

No not sled pulling, I agree, the 64 is kind of big, but for $89 if it can be modified then what do I have to lose. I just want to get away from my little stock turbo.
