Has enyone considered this size for the 2500.

507 255/70/22.5

No lift needed.

I installed a 2" riser for leveling.

I think that 19.5's look better. The 22.5's have too much wheel for my tastes.

I looked into alot of things.

Wear and milage, 4000,000+
How my front end would handel the larger size tire.
My usage and G.V.W. I pull over 20,000 at times.
What type of ride to expect.
And of course LOOKS


I found out that Rickerson does not have any aluminum rims (for a dodge)so the only way you could put on 19.5 on is to go to steel.

Personaly I didn't like the steel. I wanted the ALU.

I was informed that no one has D.O.T. approved rims in the 19.5 size for a dodge.

And if someone did have them then they were bootleged. Alcoa is not making any for a year or two.

That is very interesting to know. I thought that Rickson had aluminum wheels for the Dodge. I do agree with you with regards to aluminum, I prefer it over steel. I also didn't know that Rickson's weren't DOT approved. On the same note are those adapters from TEA DOT approved? Post up some pics when you get them.

They're not really for me, but I think they look really cool!

Definately something for the heavy haulers to look at.

I think they look great!! But they arent cheap. I ve been trying to find some used wheels then just buy the adapters. Still seems to expensive for me..

i bought a set of 6 peterbuilt alco's for my dually, and was planing on making my own adapters. the tires you are looking at are 36 or 37"s tall. i talked with a few folks that were running them on duallys, they did have to trim the front fenders to make it fit. i have decided to run 19.5s on mine. so if someone wants a smokin deal on 6 rims pm me.

I had considered this mod until I talked to a friend who works with big truck tires. Have you considered the extra (and considerable) weight of these wheels/tires? It is substantial, according to my friend.

You're adding a bunch of unsprung weight, in addition to the increased height (which effectively raises the gear ratio/lowers the actual number).

I opted instead to stick with the stock rim and add 315's, which has effectively added weight and height, but not to the degree you're considering. If I had unlimited funds, I would love to do this mod, but I can't swing re-gearing/lifting at this time.

Yes I do have to regear the spedo. I can do it electronicly for an extra 189.00.

Also the weight of the tires is not that big of an issue with me. I also know that some of the tires I looked at weigh as much as 98lbs and some 52 lbs.

Yes the seller assumes all liabilities for his product if used properly. Also the rims and alcoa the manufacture assumes its liability for its product which are dot approved.

I will post some pic in about three wheeks OF

I was referring to regearing the axles. Mine is equipped with 3.54's, and putting a tire of that height would likely burn my clutch up in short order. Make no mistake, I WANT a setup like that, I just can't swing the cheese right now.

$189.00 to re-calibrate the speedo?!?!?!? That's robbery!
My dealer said he'd hook me up for $45.00.

That $189 isn't a one time deal.
You can correct the speedometer as many times as you can change tire sizes.

$45 per fix from the dealer adds up if you like experimenting with tire sizes.
