Hi guys,
Just looking for some quick input about a truck i found.
Found a 2001 2500, with 131,000 miles on the clock.
Truck drives great and looks even better, a trade in to a dealership.
They're asking $15,900.US
To me the truck drives and looks like it could have 50,000 miles, it's pretty clean.
Any input or should I stay away.

Tried searching for any links but came up with nothing.

Did you happen to check for codes?

 

Ehh the price is ok......not a smoking deal by any means. Does it have an auto or a manual?

Check to see if it's a 2001 or 2001.5. The 2001.5 has rear disks which for me would be the one I would want and did get. Also check for codes and have the dealer run the truck and see if there are any recalls still out and also have them see what has been done under warranty. Maybe it had the VP replaced right before 100,000 miles. I love mine.

 

it's an automatic tranny, seemed like it shifted fine.
No codes were displayed that I saw.

 

I bought my 02 4x4 quad with 62,000 for 20,000. It came with spray in bed liner and still under warranty. It looks about 6 months old right now. Anyway, you have no warranty and have about 100k before chassis/body starts to give problems. I would not give over 14.500. I would offer 14.000 if it was me.

Did you get te truck? I picked up a 2001 - 2500, SLT, quad cab, auto, 2 wheel drive, tow package and 5th wheel, with 140K miles on it in December 2005 for $10K. The interior was pampered and looked real good so I got seat covers to keep it clean. I got the truck in south GA from a lady that pulled a horse trailer for shows. I picked it up to pull a dump trailer for my roofing company.
