Just got the pump cover put on the girlfriends truck (been running it in EZ mode sense she got it) and got the pump wire hooked up but we are still only getting 20 psi of boost at WOT. What gives????? I thought I was getting somewhere around 32-35 on my little HY when I put my comp on. Shouldn't she be somewhere over 20 on her HX35???? I got the comp used but it didnt come with a boost elbow, is this the problem?

 

I think it is that missing elbow. I didn't have one at first so I put a pipe clamp over that hose with a bolt in it and tighten it some and the boost keeps going to about 35.

 

Stock wastegate pops off at 18 - 20 psi.

Get the elbow and get it installed.

Just buy a small machine screw, tap of same thread and small drill bit. Turn hers into an adjustable elbow. Better yet, with just a comp, buy a 2 dollar brass 1/4" pipe plug, and replace the elbow with a plug. You don't really need a wastegate with just a comp if you don't tow heavy.
