1995 Transmission temp gauge
So I did some research and 'thought' I was all set to install my transmission temp gauge into the hot line -- Crawl under the truck and see that there is a factory temp sender already in the out line...
So where/how do I install my aftermarket sender?
And I thought I'd be lucky with a 1995 and have the bung in the out line all ready and waiting.
Thanks!

That sensor is for the computer , the temp has to be about 40*F before the computer will let the trans go onto OD & LO , what I did was to wire a 1000 ohm resistor to the sensor pigtail [ takes the computer out of control -so take it easy on a stock trans tell it get warm ] them put a sensor in that hot line .
I tried to put a tee in there to have both , but it took longer for both the gauge & computer to work , so thats when I did the resistor thing .

uglyscout - when I put the gauge in my truck I just went to NAPA and picked up the parts.....
"T" block is 3700 x 6; Compression fittings are 68 x 8 and then I had to get a bushing for the block that would accept the 1/8 npt
