My tire blew out on my 96 and needed to get a tire quick. Well my friend had a set off a 2001 that are 16" wheels. The wheels that came with my truck were 16.5" and heres why. I am guessing the rear drum is 16" because for the life of me I could get the wheels on all the way. Would moving up to a stock 17" wheel that came on the newer dodges help?

 

bigger is usually ok i had the same problem in a pinch. if your 16.5 will clear a 17 will clear

 

The 01 Aluminum wheels won't fit on 94-early 01 drum brake rear, without grinding down the drum a bit. Stock steel 16's will work, or steel or aluminum 17's from a 3rd gen. I have 3rd gen aluminum 17's on my late 01 with disc brakes.
