160 Pump Mod ?'s

I'm kinda new to the 12vers, wonderin what all you can do to the 160 pumps to step them up a little.

Will the DV's change out between the diff pumps? Like say if ya ordered a set of DV's would they be just for a 160 or would they fit in a 175 or 215.

Also rack travel, is it the same or would adding a Mack plug help all that much.

Just want to get a good grasp on the pump before I decide what to do with it.

Thanks Bryan

On a 12valve (the one in your sig is a 24v Im assuming youve got both)
You can change the cam plate to something with more travel and move it forward, turn down the AFC wheel and move the AFC housing back, upgrade the plug that limits rack travel and upgrade the DV's. Stock DVs on the early automatics are like 130-something I think. Ive heard laser cuts work decent along with the stock injectors but dont quote me on that. Ive got the 160hp injectors in mine with 191's and it doesnt smoke much even if I try =(

Bryan, the delivery valves are interchangable between all the pumps. If youre wanting to get some hp out of a 160 pump you pretty much have to switch delivery valves. I say go ahead and get some lazer cuts. If its too much fuel then just back the plate off some.

Cool, alright then mack plug, fill me in all I know is it increases the max travel in the rack (I think)

downsides, can it go too far, adjustments that have to be made, and what exactly (physicaly) is it

and is it an internal modification or is it something that can be done externally
