16 modified housing

Will this modified housing work for a quick spool housing or is it junk?
DM01
I only have this one pick and will have to get you somre of the other side tomarrow or tinight. What we did was cut off the outlet and welded on a 3 to 4" piece of pipe off a CAT turbo. Has anybody done this and will it work?

You should have a 12cm housing on the stock turbo (someone correct me if im wrong).
The 16cm housing will be slightly laggy, but quick spooling for high performance use.
Your 12cm is at its limits for your power, the 16 is perfect for where you are going with power, it will also lower your EGT's.

I already have a 16 on my truck. I was just wandering if this modified housing would hurt the turbo and if it did not would it be a quicker spooling turbo?

Re:16 modified housing

If you look down inside of it you can see that the middle is a little bit bigger where it was cut down. There has been a lot of man HRs on this thing. I did the cuttin and my friend did the welding. I got the housing for free and I already had one so I figured I would modifie it just for the heck of it.<br>DM01
