I bought a couple 12v Cummins out of F700's. Anyone know anything about the strength of the blocks, or any problems known with those engines. I couldn't find the standard "53" block numbers, just some random numbers down in that area. Didn't recognize those on a 12v block!

I'm planning on building it for my "new" engine, but want to make sure I won't have any problems down the road with the block and other hard parts.

I am not an expert but I have never heard anything about 12v blocks having any problems.

 

Only the '98s came with a 53 block.
Even then I've never heard of one cracking.

 

I've never heard of any problems with them either.
