I am thinking about taking on a project and looking for advice from anyone that really knows what fits and what don't! I have a 1989 12valve engine complete with low miles and i found a really nice 2001 v10 auto truck with a rod knock so you know where i am going. Does the v10 and the small block gas engines use same bellhousing? and the auto trans in the 2001 , was that also used in some of the 12 valve trucks?

 

v10 and diesel share a lot of the same parts V8s are different you will need an engine adapter off a 94 or newer auto put on the 12V
