Exclamation #100 plate in my '95? and other Q's

I was wondering if the 100 plate would be too much in my '95. Would it be too much for the pump? What P-7100 pump in in the '95 1 tons w/ 5 speed (160?)?
Should I go for a set of larger DV's?

I also have a question regarding fuel delivery.
I have a hand ground #10 plate in it now, and when in neutral, if I rev it up it sounds fine. But, when I rev it up and hold it there it pops and sputters through the exhaust, and the smoke goes blue (unburned). The injectors were replaced about a year before I bought it, supposedly w/ stock replacements, but I wonder if their the 330HP marine injectors. ANy way to tell without pulling one? It doesn't sputter or pop under load. My guess is lotsa fuel w/ no boost.

sounds like your timing has slipped a bit, my 97' does this to an extent, & I had a 96' that done it really bad, after I had the timing bumped up on the 96' it was smooth as silk, haven't had a chance to take the 97' in yet, but hope to soon, Dusty

Anyone?
To elaborate on what I've already done... I've already cleaned the pre-screen in the fuel heater and replaced the rubber lines and overflow valve.

The 100 plate

similar to your 10 except no defueling. PM northslope he does AWESOME WORK.. really nice plates.. My dad made me a homeground that i sold for a very good reason, and trust me itll wake your truck up much more than that 10 at the top end.. I have the banks powerpack too, and lets just say, that plate makes good power.. but its still really restrictive...that 10 is an improvement.. Try a 0 if you want low end and smoke

I think itll work, but its best you either drive easy, and go easy on your clutch, or upgrade it. My truck has run with a zero, a hundred, and banks plate.. and it dont like the zero or the hundred at higher revs.. clutch slips quite easily...

I'm gonna go for it and make my 10 into a 100 plate sometime this week. So far, knock on wood, the stock clutch has held everything I've thrown at it (30' long burnouts, 1/4 mile runs, etc.). If the 100 plate makes it slip, I'll just keep my foot out of it until I can get an OFE or similar clutch.

UR clutch stock?

Mine DIDNOT like the zero plate, or the 100 plate under heavy throtle, dont seem to mind the banks plate too much but im just gonna say i will be needing a new clutch soon enough.... OH they are tough and will hold, just not for too long... When i dynoed 376/902 with a zero plate full forward, a BHAF, Banks Exhaust and remnants of a banks powerpack.. my clutch smelled for a good while even with stock injectors.. and it smoked.. it hasnt been the same since that run in mid june. But i got some really good numbers... Somethin tells me my truck has more to it than i know of, cause i know the banks powerpack is supposed to get you to about 330 or so rwhp, or does that zero make that much of a difference.. its fun to play with tho just cant afford it right now...

376HP on stock injectors!!!! WOW! I figure that mines near the 350HP range w/ the #10 in it. Sound about right to you? You still running stock turbo? I am, but have the Banks 14CM wastegated exh. housing.

blue smoke is not unburned fuel, its not enough fuel. black smoke is unburned fuel.

id say you are closer to my current setup

300-330, perhaps 350 on full forward yes it is feasible... My current setup with the banks plate at stock position is probably at 300 rwhp, full forward its closer to 330, The 10 plate (finally i rode in a friends truck that has one) with a manual seems much smoother than the banks.. so i do buy your numbers... the zero is just merciless on fuel on full forward...OMG..... it literally makes that turbo scream for mercy. after all lookin at TST numbers 330/750 u should be makin that somewhere somehow, full forward add about 30 hp...

Cool. I think I'll be regrinding tomorrow. Either that or rebuilding the PTO clutch on my Cub Cadet... mowed the other day and smoked the clutch when I hit some tall wet watergrass.
Regardless, I'm gonna get this thing reground.

CSramsey, You really think it could be lean on fuel at the top end? It doesn't smoke blue under load, just when held to the floor in neutral. When it starts smokin blue, it starts popping out the exhaust and sorta missing.

Got er done! I lost my upper RPM defueling and gained 1 MPH in the 1/4 mile. Probably would have gained more, but clutch is starting to slip in 5th gear.
I now have the #100 plate slid 90% forward, AFC slid all the way forward, and the star wheel is loose. I still have to reset the timing... smoke goes gray once boost comes up, so I'll bet it slipped. I'm gonna shoot for 15 deg. Say "bye bye clutch!"

I would go a little higher on the timing 16 - 17. Also some bigger Dvs may help your stumble. I think you should have a 175 hp pump. It will take whatever you can throw at it. I also doubt you are in the 350 hp range, probably closer to 300..

I would go higher w/ the timing, but I'm a worry wart and I'm afraid I'll compromise engine longevity w/ higher timing settings. I figured that 15* - 15.5* would be a happy medium.
