Sorry! Though the M4s have a little higher threshold of smoke, when they DO smoke-- lookout! Then can SERIOUSLY bring the smoke compared to the DD2s!

where is a good place to buy & find out more info on HE341 upgrade for '01 truck? This sounds appealing...along with some mild sticks, M1 to 1.6 or RV275's

I'd say you want to forget about adding injectors of ANY kind unless you upgrade your turbocharger first. The HX35 from a manual transmission truck would work well, and the HE341 from an 03 or 04 truck would work even better (newer technology and designed to support 300hp or more). All of these OEM turbos from other trucks could be had for modest cost.

Other guys have added tons of fuel to an HY35, but I'd discourage it. If you want to increase the towing power of your rig, I'd encourage you to look at a product with some timing to it. The XZT you have now is fueling only, from what I understand.

Thank you for that info! I believe I'll be doing some more homework on injectors, too! Had no idea on the variety. I had someone offer me some DDP3's. What are your thoughts on these?

DDP injectors are one of the best available. I would highly recommend jumping on those.

OOPPS! Just read your original post. If your still wanting to keep your egt's in check, you should probably pass on these. But if you plan on adding some air, get them.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm running a 6 speed, HX-35, RV275's, and now an XZT+. I'm wanting to find some F1 M2's (used). Looks like I'll be alright EGT-wise with my set-up.

O, Hohn! The XZT+ does timing, very aggressive timing at that! It has off, timing, and timing/fuel.

What about something smaller than 100hp., but more refined than a standard rv275. Are there any EDM'd injectors that fit this? Or is the first step up the 100hp?

Don has EDMs in 65hp and 85 hp sizes.

I think there are 1 or 2 Jammers in sizes under 100hp as well, but honestly I know nothing about Jammers. Kinda quit shopping once I got my F1s.

You could probably run some Mach 1s (65hp) with controllable (but still hot) EGTs.

Sorry to say there's just not much you can do with the Hy35 stock turbo. You've basically maxed out its capability already with your XZT+.

I disagree Hohn. Like I said earlier, I can pull my #8000 TT with the XZT+ on timing only and EGT's are not an issue unless I'm pulling a long grade or big hill then all I have to do is back out a little. On the other hand, if I was to use the fuel/timing setting, I might burn something up and destroy my trans. So far, I'm completely satisfied with my set-up and it tows like a freight train.

I'm sorry! I didn't explain myself. I do not tow in the aggressive tune. When I tow I use the timing setting only. It only changes the timing and does not add any more fuel. I figured that in the timing setting with mild injectors I would be ok. I hardly tow on the freeway it is mostly in town. I figure that my mileage will go up alittle more with small injectors in the timing mode. And I could have some good fun playing in the aggresive tune while unloaded. I'm just trying to get an idea before X-mas.

bucket - where in Alabama are you located? I'm in the Montgomery area. My truck and yours are equipped similarly, except I have a 6 speed & 275 injectors. I was thinking of swapping them out ... in case you may be interested.

Hmm, I bought an HX and was gonna do the hybrid thing to swap out my HY, but this sounds more interesting. Is the HE341 a direct swap/bolt-in on the 2nd Gens.???
