02 fuel PSI gage hookup

ok, so i am reading all the horror stories and figure my sat. morning job will be installing a fuel PSI gage. one problem, where to hook it? looks like the only way would be to tap the line, or find a fitting that would screw onto the test fitting coming into the injection pump. any slick ways someone has figured out?

Do a quick search. There was a thread earlier today explaining where to hook the gage.

Upersleder:

Your '02 (like mine) has a Schrader-style valve at the VP44 inlet. This is a convenient place to tap for pressure readings using a hose like the one offered www.Genosgarage.com

Other options are tapped banjo fittings, or tapped hi-flow adapters, like the Max-flow kit from www.wildcatdiesel.com

PM me if you have any more questions.

Just contact one of the vendors that advertise on our site.
They're the ones that help us keep this site on the WWW and at no cost for the rest of us.

They can give you all the latest and greatest info on what you will need and where to hook up for a particular year vehicle.

Here is the best way I have found and solves the ticking gauge problem as well. This was passed on to me by Rod at wildcat.

Get the kit from whomever you wish. It should come with a SS line and fittings. All you need is a tapped banjo bolt for the bottom of the fuel cannister and run your line to the gauge.
