Springtime in kansas... 48 confirmed tornados yesterday and 11 today since 1500.... Greensburg had another big one miss them by less than 3 miles..
Emergency Ops Center is getting reports non-stop of power poles gone, buildings gone, but no injuries so far..and its all been in the western half of the state..we get our turn later tonight and tomorrow...

well, keeps life from being boring here in Oz...!

Stopped for coffee on teh way in tonight and had a guy aproach me in teh parking lot and ask if I wanted to sell my truck! told him 12K and it was his, he took my number and said he'd talk to his bank..that would be cool..then I could get a bigger and better one!

Night shift coffee is on, extra emphasis on teh caffine content...dont even sniff it if ya might want to sleep in the next 16 hours.....

"work on video"? So what, you tape the janitor work and sit around watching it later? No wonder you're always so tired out....

Yeah, he's got a cleanin' fetish. LOL! Good coffee this mornin' Bob, thanks! You're learnin'!

Should I play that video for our fire setter kids Don? LOL!

Went on a 3 mile hike thru the woods here yesterday, exploring all the areas we used to run our trap line in when we were kids... man, this town has changed.

Got a trailer to put new axles under today, a ramp gate to rebuild tomorrow and new fenders to replace some old beat up ones on Monday. At least none of them are 'all-day' jobs so maybe I'll have time for a coffee break or three!

chaikwa.

Mornin' all,

NW Houston, 82*F now, forecast is for 95 with a heat warning, it is partly cloudy and humid, but I'll take that. Hang on tight in KS. been thru a couple of them twisters.
Been up for a while, had breakfast, doggies fed, more down the hatch, a couple loads of laundry done. It is me and the dogies here this weekend. Wife is off to visit an older cousin that is having major health problems, bleeding out of where you ain't supposed to be bleeding. Not good news.
Daughter and her crew are down on Galveston Island for the weekend.
Landing zone empty this AM.

Congrats to the grads, and the dads of grads. My prudent student next term starts next week.

Wannabe, thought you was retired, what is this working stuff you mentioned?
Fishing getting more sportsman like, and not using "DuPont spinners."
Good that 5erBob keeps the coffee, and foo going.
Olddog how is the computer repair going? I got to get the wirless securty set back up. Somehow it lost it.

Chaikwa, you not going to set back with your feet up and eat donuts, drink and ply computer games to day?

Fronty, put a lot of fiction in the trip reports, that way if anyone reads them they will come and ask "what is this garbage." Don't ask how I know. Just gotta be honest on the cheat sheet for the travel and loving money.

Davey's trip report for last weekends trip to Oregon.

Wife drove me to Hobby airplane yard on Thursday morning. I could have been dropped off at the Park and Ride, and taken the bus in. For me it is FREE, and don't take much longer that driving. She was close to where much much older and much, much wiser sister lives so she went over there to help her out. Sis can't drive yet with the broken collar bone.
Plane was late at Hobby, weather delay coming from the east. Had plenty of time in Oakland for a layover and flight change.
In Portland took train from airport to close to where my darling daughter lives.
$0.85 for sexy seniors.
Left Friday afternoon for Sunriver. Had dinner up on Mt Hood.
Sunriver warmed up, temps went up to 92 durning the day, a few days before that had snow and cold. Signs at the pool said "watch for ice." Didn't get a pix.
Both daughter and hubby had do cancel race as bad knees. We did some sightseeing around the resort.
It was a very relaxing weekend. Left Sunday to return to Portland via Hood River OR as they wanted to check on there condo, and rental house there.
Drove right by DODGECOWBOY country, but no way to contact him, so we did not make the left of Hwy 197 into Dufer.
When we got to Hood River there was a bike race going on, so we stopped to watch.

Monday morning dropped off at the train, red line to airport, and off to the Portland Or airport. Signed up for a frequent flyer card with SW airline. This will allow me to use the express land for securty checkin. Wheee.
Portland, to Oakland, to San Deigo to Houston. Between Oakland and SD there was a "bang" noise, and the plane shutter for an instant. Didn't sound right to me. Then at SD we switched planes and on to HOU. On the way got a pix out the window of another SW airline plane over TX.

Have already made reservation for next year, maybe some of my other kids will join us.

Not much else going on, the sale of the 5th wheel is pending. That is a good thing.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

AlwayW, We took 26 across Mt Hood to 97 to Sunriver. That was the planed route. If we had planned across Hwy 20 would have looked to hook up with you for a coffee.
