Fake Cop Busted with Very Phony ID Badge (Photo)

Police in Grapevine say an alert citizen helped them catch a man who did a good job of making his truck look like a police vehicle. He did not, however, do such a good job on the ID badge he was using to impersonate an officer.
Police Sgt. Kim Smith tells 1080-KRLD the man blacked out a Chipoltle restaurant gift card with a marker or paint, and then scratched the word, "Police" on it. "The Chipoltle emblem and logo was still displayed," Sgt. Smith said.
Officers caught the police impersonator after he tried to pull over a driver on Highway 360. He's now being held on immigration charges.

When I was at A school for the CG in Petulma CA we had a guy copy the back of a military ID and actually use invisible tape to attach it to the back of his. He didn't even cut it just folded it over then tried to pass it of at the on base bar to buy beer. Needless to say it didn't work.

My Chief used a folded up dollar bill to show at the main gate one time as we were driving in together ....... once he was waved thru the gate, he promptly pulled over and that was the day I witnessed how a REAL chewing was done !!!

Cheers,

I don't believe he would've been amused in the least .

He was a hard-nose at times (read MOST of the time) but noone messed with his sailors, especially an officer without feeling his wrath. Darn good role model !!

A chipotle restaurant card ..... well, that's creative I guess.

Cheers,
PISTOL
