Yellowstone RV Pull
I'm planning to leave Indiana around the first of July heading for Yellowstone for the first time. I'm pulling the RV. Should I be worrying about campground reservations near there?
Yes. We call it the make or break time. 90 days is all most of the local businesses have to show a profit.
If you're going to Cody, you'd better have reservations. You could try to wing it, but it's prime time. Two good campgrounds there are: Ponderosa and the KOA. The KOA is about three miles from the center of town, while Ponderosa is within walking distance of most everything you'd need incl the BBHC museum and firearms collection.

Be advised, the road via the East Gate is under construction inside the Park and will be well into 2005. Fact is they've been working on that road since 1995 with no sign of completion.
