WOW!! I wish I were this guy!!

I do not know if this has been posted but....

Whats in the barn??

A New York man retired, wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it
would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres inPortugal.

The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife
both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes.

There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and
they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to
see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property
anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved
in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him.
So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of
grinders.......and cut thru the welds.

What was in the barn...............? Go to,

NO kidding! Who leaves an old barn unexplored?

That is just a wild, wild find.

There's easily $10M worth of iron in that barn.

Heck, with a full resto, some of those vintage 356s and race cars alone would get you to $10M.

Time to hire Jay Leno as a consultant, get those cars all restored, and have your own little Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

I'd keep a dozen of them or so for myself, and the rest would be Barrett-Jackon HERE WE COME!

That's an absolutely amazing collection.

Hard to believe he left no heirs, though. Then again, a guy who had that many cars probably wasn't even married

my grandmother kept a 67 camaro in her barn for about 15 years then sold it at the farm auction in 91, 327 with a glide. i always take a good look into barns when im cruising backroads, never know what you could get for cheap or even free.

Why didn't anybody buy a ladder and look thru where the sunlight and birds were getting in? Strange no one ever saw this guy herding these cars in there. What a find!
I knew of an old barn with numerous 'gems' in it also. MB 300SL, Shelby GT500, Hemi Allard, Torino GT500, a few Chevelles and El Camino's, a peculiar Pantera and a few English roadsters. All left to a friend after his Dad passed away.

Barret Jackson would have to run a seperate auction just for those cars. Even though there are millions setting there if restored, it's way too much time and money. I'd part out whats left thats good or sell the cars full to anyone who wants em. And what's up with them calling the muscle cars barges?
