That told people to drive like 110yr old idiots? The past couple of months I've been noticing that people have started driving 5 under the speed limit everywhere. Not to mention riding side by side on the highway at 5mph under, not finishing passes, and just generally holding up traffic. What gives? Granted, I grew up in Houston and learned how to drive very aggresively but even houston is slowing down. WHY?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?! I'm not in a rush to get everywhere but I do drive at least the speed limit. Most of the times 5 over. And nothing frustrates me more than ignorant people just poking along not paying a dang bit of attention about what's going on around them and holding traffic up.

 

lots of retirees. anytime I ride with my father in law I am constantly looking in the mirrors to make sure we don't get rearended going 40 in a 55. freaks me out, but not as bad as this idiot on a crouch rocket the other day. I was pullin my 4-wheeler and this guy passed me in the slow vehicle turn out with 10 cars in front of me. he almost didn't make it before the pavement ended. then I saw him passing on double lines around corners, no hlemet of course. he won't last long.

 

You're not the only one Blue, It seems that around here everyone forgot how to drive too. I will admit i don't speed alot usually 5 over or whatever traffic is doing but some people are doing 5 and 10 under the speed limit. I live near chicago and for slow driving to happen here its almost unheard of. My dad drives like how you described and it grinds my gears when i'm in the car with him or following him.

 

It is a conspiracy, something to do with the patootoo bug. Last I heard the bug is making a run at controlling the world starting with pool cleaners, driving them to the brink of insanity. Then turning to people in cars, and turning them into ingnorant drivers lacking any kind of an attention span. It appears that the last ones to be attacked are the people driving Dodge trucks with a Cummins diesel. The large amounts of smoke emitted from their exhaust pipes has kept the pateetoo bug from them.

 

And the biggest kicker of it all is that I'm not talking about old folks. I'm talking about people my age (21) driving like this. Mainly, and with all due to respect to the fine females here, girls. Not a single one of them does the speed limit anymore.

I'm fine with people driving under speed limit. Just get out of the left lane and stop riding side by side with the guy next to you doing the same speed. Or running along taking a couple of miles to complete a pass.

On Labor Day weekend, I saw more of this than ever before. Also saw plenty of slow traffic staggered out where they force everyone to weave through them to make it down the road.

 

It's because every day we drive we get a little bit older, and we all know that the older we get the slower we drive.

 

BigBlue, I have you're solution: Move to California! Out here we have our share of retard drivers, but they only have the leftmost three lanes. The rightmost 3-5 are reserved for people that go at least 80. However, we also have the people that biff it going 90 and that slows the works down a whole bunch, so everybody only gets to go 20 miles an hour anyways. And we also have pootata bugs that are plotting to take over the world and use our brains as incubators for their demon-spawn offspring.

You must have been behind me. I'm always getting at by the wife that I drive like a grandma on her way to church. I'm only 29. I'm usually in the slow poke lane though. I have been doing better now that I have been in the "sandbox". Over there you go as fast as possible and hope that broke down car on the road isn't the one thats going to blow you up.
