just seems water is becoming scarce some.

our commode at the house has a jiggle in the handle,
if you push it real quick, it does a nice #1 rinse.

if you hold it a few seconds, it does a #2 power flush.

just saying, somebody ought to patent that, and make some money.

and do one, like for RV's or something.

They actually have those now.

Seems like a good idea, especially for people on wells.

That makes more sense than commodes that use 1/3 less water, but you have to flush 3 times to get the job done...

just go to canada and get the good blackmarket toilets that get the job done. You could flush a dead cat down some of those

They have the 2 flush mode at the Portland Or Airport.
I will see if I still have a picture of the sign. Up for liquid waste, down for solid waste, (#2)

My dad had a toliet where the water to fill the tank had a spout above the tank so you can wash your hands then it drained into the tank.. I think he got it from when he was in Okinawa.

Not sure what the soap did for long term use though. Never saw another one like it around.

The water saving toilets must have been designed by a plumber, All of the apartments I have the tenant always clog them up. You have to hold down the handle to get an acceptable flush.

Nothing is worse than getting a call to a backed up toilet 3 days later

When I check them the first thing I do is to remove the short water saving flush valve and install one that reaches the top of the tank to get a full flush.

At home I bought an American Standard with a Sloan Flushmate air assist, it uses air pressure and the complete flush only last around 3 seconds.

The store where I bought it from demonstrated it by dropping 3 golf ***** into the toilet and flushing them down.

Sloan makes all of the flush valves used in commercial toilets.

I have an outhouse. Kinda eliminates the need to flush.

That sure brings back memories of traveling cross-country in the 70’s and stopping at gas station bathrooms along the way.
Is that in a gas station or a bar? Looks like the true meaning to Hit or Miss.
How did the toilet flush? Did you have to wash your hands until the tank had enough water to flush?

That is kind of unique but you would have to straddle the hopper to wash your hands and I sure would not be brushing my teeth there.
Are they European or something? I see no provision for a toilet seat (germs) and the floor flange is not standard.
