there is a thread on arboristsite.com about Axe Men. Some guy from that area said he or a BIL applied for a job with one of the logging companies that is featured on the show. they were looking for someone with NO experience, poor work ethic, and a bad attitude.

If you watch some of the shows from three or so years ago, they just got out there and worked, occationally acted up, and ragged on each other, but now its kinda like if someone isn't ready to fight, they dont show it. They are giving their censor *BEEEP* a work out. Thats the whole reason I started watching their reality shows. it was real. nice to see what others do for a living.

I think its about getting people to watch. Altho Hugh and that other canuk have a following from the canadian ice roads.

I will give Lisa credit, she can atleast shift the rig smooth enough she doesn't look completely clueless.

 

Oh yea, when I seen her haul that 80ft load and clear over the ice block on her turn I had to admit they trained her well.

I like seeing Rick rag on his truck and then play innocent "I broke the truck". He's nuts. Hugh is awesome, I always like watching him. Now that one guy, the owner of all the trucks, he's a little too cocky for my taste, but hey, maybe its the cold weather. Great show nonetheless. I've been watching Operation repo alot too, pretty funny.
