i was just wondering if there were any dart players out there? serious or for fun it don't matter. i was just wondeing because i bought my step dad a dart board for x-mas and we've been playing darts ever since, and i used to play with my real dad when i was a little boy. we had a bristle board in the basement of our house and well, we never kept score cause i was too young to care, but i did enjoy it, and then i bought my stepdad this one for x.mas, it's electronic though, and i'm taking a real liking to it again, so i was just wondering if there were many more dart players out there.

 

I used to play a LOT in tournaments, I was hard to guard when I played all the time. I had to change my throwing style several years ago do to some injuries. I don't play as much as I used to, but I am still pretty tough to beat when I am on my game.

I visualize where I want the dart to go and then let it go there. Pretty cool feeling to get ton 80's at will

 

that's awesome top, i hope i can be that good some day, like i said, i really am taking on a liking to the sport. what kind of games did you play? i'm fond of the _01 games myself, their a strategy game but yet easy enough a true beginner can enjoy them too.

 

My favorite game is Cricket, we play a variation on it where if you get your number on your last dart via a double or a triple, you go again. I have run the board that way quite a few times.

 

Ahhh.....fond memories! Tournament darts, league darts and cold beer.

 

I used to play a lot while in military and stationed in Holland...THursday was beer and darts night at the Vossen Huis....for our Dutch-American dart league. I have a board in my garage and throw them every now and then but nothing like before. Looking to buy a board wall cabinet and some extra darts for visitors and do it again.

Great game.....love playing 301, 501 or Cricket...but cricket when you can load up on points to really bury your opponent is best.

 

I used to play in a league and I loved it. Problem is, leauges play in bars and bars have beer......
I am looking to get back into it when time permits...

 

When I was stationed in Britain, I threw on 5 different leagues. Have thrown 25 180s, and won lots of drinks playing. Used to have 3 sets of identical darts; 24, 25, & 26 grams. Used to buy my flights 100 sets at a time. Love the game of darts.

 

ya guys, i think i can officially say i'm addicted. i went over to my stepdad's place at 2:30 pm and i've been over there playing until now when i just got home and it's about 12:30 am what a long time playing. i've been practicing my aiming and i'm getting pretty good at the singles, but now i gotta get the doubles and triples down. i even bought my first set of darts. $8.00 at wal-mart, 13 grams, and i really like them, they throw good. and i even got a set of budweiser flights at a sporting goods store tonight. ya i really like the _01 games, i haven't got the hang on cricket but it's a pretty easy game isn't it?
