Who ordered this cold

I woke up this morning to go to work. It was -37 below zero and with the wind chill it was -47. Mother nature has no scents of humor. A person finds out real quick how good your batteries are in this weather.

Stay warm as ya' can, man.

I feel you here to the south. We are at a low of -16 this morning and a predicted high today of -6.

Yesterday we managed to get to -2!!

We had some windchills down in the -30's and -40's too. Its sucking, Im itching to get out deer hunting and I don't want to freeze the gazoongas off.

Stay warm all, and be prepared when you do go out.

Have a good one.

My truck had 60 on the overhead yesterday at 1:30 pm. By 6:30 pm it was down to 25 (rain sleet and snow along with the temp drop). This morning it had 1 degree. 60 degree drop in less than 24 hrs.

Demon, that is global warming. It is simply a conspiracy to lull us in to thinking that it isn't happening. Al Gore is behind it, along with Castro, Elvis, Sonny Bono and Ahnuld...

Yeah, its been sitting right on -30 here for about 5 days. Not too bad, but the river is still open, so the humidity is a killer. Lots of those fancy new age emissions equipped trucks starting to shut down due to cold, gotta love those, almost a license to print money.

One thing I like about the cold, is you can dress for it, heat... not so much. A sasquatch out in public tends to raise a few too many eyebrows.

Have a good one

Was 75 and sunny here yesterday, so I was running around in shorts and flip flops, headed out to have dinner and stay the night with the gf, woke up to +20 to head home in. I looked rather funny I suppose in cargo shorts, ropers w/my spurs still on them, a wool coat and my silver belly cowboy hat in an ill attempt to stay warm. The lesson here is always be sure you have a pair of jeans in the truck

On another note the truck has been especially hard to start if not plugged in. The grid heater is not hooked up, could this be the problem. This morning she took 4 cranks to start. Truck would turn over then die and then roared to life on crank # 4 with alot of white smoke.

Yea, worked outside most of Saturday with a windchill of -44 (warmed up to -28 during the day). The mighty Cummins was happy to start being plugged in for 4 hours with the block and oil pan heater. That oil pan heater makes a HUGE difference!!! That and taking the fan off off and blocking 5 of the 6 air vents in the grill, even towing 10,000 lbs, no heating issues!!!.

But she is a cold one out there. -27 right now!!!
