Ok, I guess I will dig up a list. As well as I can remember, from first car to what I presently own:
1. 1982 Pontiac J-2000. Automatic, 1.8L non-EFI. What a slug.
2. 1982 Ford EXP. Ugliest. Car. Ever.
3. 1983 Honda Accord 5-speed. Cheap, reliable, and efficient.
4. 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme - 4 door, loaded, V-6 Diesel! $150!
5. 1983 Chevy LUV. 5-speed, diesel, flatbed
6. 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, V-6 Diesel.
7. 1987 Ford Escort diesel, 5-speed.
8. 1982 Chevy LUV. 5-speed, diesel, gray with lots of cancer holes
9. 1979 Oldsmobile station wagon, 350 diesel, basket case, never driven
10. 1983 Dodge Ram 50, Mitsubushi 2.3L turbo diesel, 4x4, 5-speed
11. 1982 Buick Regal, V-6 diesel.
12. 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, V-6 Diesel.
13. 1993 Oldsmobile Achieva. Wrecked by family member.
14. 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 2-door, was gas then 350 diesel 4-speed auto.
15. 1986 Ford F-250, 6.9L Diesel.
16. 1984 Pontiac 6000. Not diesel.
17. 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, V-6 Diesel.
18. 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88, 350 diesel, 4-speed automatic.
19. 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 4-door, V-6 Diesel. (not the same as #4 above)
20. 1982 Buick Regal, V-6 Diesel (not the same as #11 above)
21. 1996 Saturn SW2
22. 1993 Mercury Topaz. With 1985 diesel ford escort 5-speed drivetrain.
23. 1992 Dodge Ram 250, Cummins Turbo Diesel.
24. 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins, 6-speed.
25. 2000 Ford Excursion, 7.3L PowerStroke

As best as I can remember them. Some I owned at the same time. All that remains of this big list is the 2001 Dodge and the 2000 Ford.

And no, the Oldsmobiles, V-6 and 350 diesel, weren't junk. Maybe I was lucky. But almost all of those that I got rid of, were for other issues like wrecks (2 of them), parted out to make something else, or defects like leaking fuel tanks and busted windshields. Many years of driving cheaply. There was a time when those things could be had for less than $400, drivable. The area around Lasing, MI used to be littered with them.

But eventually I wound up with a 'real' diesel, which is what I wanted all along!

LOL, Like the 70 GS Stage 1 Buick? The RA4 69 GTO? The 396/375 69 Camaro?

I know the feeling all too well, but if you were anything like me, you used them like they were meant to be used, and discarded them when they were toast....... Makes me cringe though that I didnt have the foresight to save at least 1 of them, but back then, they were too cheap ( and plentiful ) to even comprehend what they would become.

Yeah, and not even the money so much--what gets me is that at the ridiculous prices muscle cars are selling for these days, I'll never be able to own anything cool again.
