Yes supercharger, its a 2-stage 2-speed supercharger, intercooled with up to +25 PSI Boost or 80" Hg MAP on 150 Grade AvGas in "War Emergency " mode.

War Emergency was initiated by shoving the throttle lever foreword past a stop and breaking a safety wire, you could only run in this mode for about 5 minuets before you damaged the engine.

Specs on the engine with 2-speed 2-stage gear driven supercharger.
