Where's all the guitar players?

Just a small poll I wanted to put up. I know we have guitar players here (some even with a Dr. Z amp ). Just want to get an idea as to what every body plays, even the bass players. I included them in the poll too.

I play a C.F. Martin DX1 acoustic guitar. I spent a small fortune on it (my 2002 tax return, I was still single at that time). But it was worth ervy nickel. I enjoy every time I pick and strum it. I am into the acoustic side of guitars more than the electrics. I get the same feeling playing it like HOHN gets with that new amp of his.

Here is a shot of me with my guitar, if you have pictures of yours please post it.

Back into playing after a 30 year break. Wife bought me a left handed Fender for my b-day. My real love is my McSpadden left handed baritone dulcimer. Got it custom made a few years back up at Mountain View, AR. Beautiful sound but not much volume. Had them add a pickup and going through the amp really brings the tones out.

I have an Ibanez GSA160 and small Toneblaster practice amp. I also have an acoustic guitar my grandpa found on the side of the road. All in all about $300, the rest has gone toward my truck. I don't play too much so I don't need great equipment (though I would enjoy having some).

I have an Epiphone SG junior, that I completly rebuilt, sanded the neck to raw wood, oiled it, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker (anniversary present from my wife, she picked it out) all new wires/controls... No amp at the moment. I usually play my accoustic, a 50's model Fender. It is a little beat up, but feels and sounds great.

Keep at it; someday, you might be another DOC WATSON; and, if you don't know who Doc Watson is, you need to find out.

Of course, old Doc picks a Gallagher.

I am a bassist for a local rock band. I started on trombone and switched to tuba in junior high school. It was a natural switch to go to electric bass since the music is written the same for bass as tuba. I primarily play electric 5 string in a rock band. I have the following gear:

Alembic Elan 5 fretted 5 string electric
Gibson Les Paul 5 fretted 5 string electric
Pedulla Pentabuzz fretless 5 string electric
CF Martin B-65 fretless 4 string acoustic bass
CF Martin B 5-40 fretted 5 string acoustic bass
Rickenbacker 4003 fretted 4 string electric

SWR Basic Black Amplifier
SWR Super Red Head Amplifier
SWR SM 900 Amplifier

My list includes Acoustic Fender F-65 6 string w/ pickup, fender F-310-12 12 string, Gibson Sonex 180 Custom electric 6 string, Mansfield 6 string electric knock of a Les paul, Manfield electric Bass, Harmony 5 string Banjo and all the goodies that come with them all.

I play the dueling banjos at parties all by myself, banjo in front the guitar all on my lap, its good for a laugh

Happy picking....
