Where to Buy Power Tools?
Hey there, I was wondering where you guys buy your power tools from? Such as an online source, I am mainly looking at DeWalt Tools such as a Mitre Saw, Table Saw, Jointer, Planer etc etc. Preferably from Canada, but not too essential. Customer service is nice, but price is a biggie for me since I am on a tight budget. Thanks.

These guys seem to have pretty reasonable prices on the things I've researched: www.coastaltool.com . Not in Canada, but pretty close--Connecticut.
I've had good experience ordering from them.

I have been very satisfied with online purchases at www.toolcribofthenorth.com. They handle all the better tools and usually ship for free if you get your order amount to $200. In addition, no sales tax!
might give maxtools a shout http://www.maxtools.com
I usually shop around online to see what place is the cheapest then buy by name...
www.grainger.com carries DeWalt and probably ships to canada.

Porter Cable is another great tool manufacturer, but like DeWalt they're pretty expensive (maybe even more so).
There are several different grades of the same power tools that look exactly the same and have the same description but might have an extra number or letter in the model number.
The tools Harbor Freight and places like Home Depot sell are usually the cheapy version of the tool. Grainger and Tool Crib sell the better ones.
