Wink

Well I haven't read any other posts in here, My personal Favorite Glock is the one I can afford!

But seriously, I like/have the 22 (.40) I think the .45 GAP or ACP would be good guns as well.

I chose .40 for the middle of the road performance/weight/power between 9mm and .45 ACP

G17 and G17L... but I like my Springfield 1911A2 much better. And I'm more comfortable and shoot better with the 1911. I love my 'leven.

You sir are mistaken, and I have been derelict in my duty, except that I was deployed and lost track. So, apologies on this belated (almost two years) reply. I was at Ft. Stewart training up when I replied the first time, and almost a year AFTER returning, I'm catching up.

Patton Quotes

M1 Garand: "The greatest battle implement ever devised."

"I do not have to tell you who won the war. You know, the artillery did."

Gen George S. Patton

Disclosure: I have 15 years service in the Field Artillery. I also have a small collection of M1 Garands (FWIW).

+1

Glock isn't a bad weapon, but when I go shooting its doesn't feel good in my hands whereas the XD (5" tactical .45) and XDm (9mm) both feel and fit my hands better.

I've got a G36 in .45 ACP that is excellent. The single stack magazine is much more comfortable than the double stack of the G21 although it only holds 6 in the magazine. I have a 1911 and a S&W M&P.45 as well and honestly like them all. The M&P is full size so I don't carry it very often at all but the grip is very nice, about as close to a 1911 as I've seen on a pistol that isn't a 1911.

The G36 has been 100% reliable and I am able to carry it if the clothing is right. That is basically cargo shorts or khakis (big pockets).

If I don't have the proper clothing I carry a S&W 642 .38 Special, it goes everywhere!

I have two 23's and a 27. I like their reliability and they fit my mitt.

36 for me... Best gun ever! Hands Down!

However, the best gun is one that is shot often and will hold true in any situation.... That said. I'll stick with the glock!

Love my 26 and 30SF. Still need to buy a 19 and 21 for my collection to be complete. If I could only have one of the 4, it would be the 30SF.

When it really boils to down to what matters in Iraq I am sure the last thing people are using is their pistols when you have access to an M-16/M4, DMR-M14, M249, or M240GPMG in your hands.
Kind of like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Pistols are mainly a defensive weapon and thats it.
Colts and Kimbers are what you show your friends....Glocks what you show your enemy's!

9mm vs .45 hole size vs. shot placement....single stack mags vs double stack....7rnds .45 vs 17 9mm...on and on and on....shoot what ya shoot best

In my opinion handguns are for protection when reloading your battle rifle.. or for when ar15's are frowned upon laying on the denny's table lol.

21 and 30. All need trigger jobs done in my opinion to smooth the actions. There is no comparison between a lightened and polished assembly, and a stock assembly in any Glock.
