I love the old stuff, but I'll have to admit, some of the new stuff is alright. The stuff I really love is sung by Texan artists. Namely, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Roger Kregar (however you spell his name), Charlie Robinson. Guys like that. Dont' forget Alabama, Travis Tritt, Hank Jr., George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Tracey Lawerence, Mark Chesnut, Kenny Chesney.

It was not to be. The whole thing sounded like top 40's pop music. THAT is why I love Allison Krauss so much. Even though she mixes between country and BG, at least she still has a country sound. The Dixie Chicks are awesome too.

Don't get me started on that crap that's coming out of Nashville. It ain't country. No way, no how. There are a few artists that are keeping country in their music. Dixie Chicks, King George, Allison Krauss and Nickle Creek are a few I enjoy.

But the music I like the most is the same music that BB mentioned. Texas Country Artist. Guy,s you don't know what you're missing. These artists won't back down to the so called &quot;experts&quot; in Nashville when it comes the the style of music they record. The record what they want to record.
