What's a good price on a new Dodge 1/2 ton
What's a good price on a new Dodge 1/2 ton
Thinking about a plain jane small v8, auto, reg cab 4x4 6' bed. Rubber mats with pw's, and ac would be fine. Just a basic company truck kinda rig. White or dark green, add a bit of chrome to dress it up and have a little runaround truck for a lot of years.
I don't mind a 04 if the price is right for a 1 year old truck.
Dealers in my area only want to offer the current discounts off the full list price, don't even think about trying to deal off dealer holdback and invoice.
And what about the 4.7, anygood. What about power and fuel mileage. I'm not interested in 3.92 gears for towing since I've already got that covered. Just looking for dependable full size, and fuel mileage is a concern.
What would be really nice is to purchase one without engine or transmission and install a new electronic 4bt Cummins with auto.
Someone needs to do that. Just figure how to deal with the EPA guys and I bet you'd have more customers than you could handle. Remember the Yenko Chevys and Dodges from Grand Spalding Dodge. Well if you happen to be under 50, then you don't remember, but they were dealer modified cars with big blocks and intakes (6 pack Demons and later supercharged Demons) that the manufacture should have built but didn't.
Thanks, RJR

If fuel mileage is a concern like you say, then I don't think I would get a Dodge or a Ford. Neither is known for good fuel mileage in their gas engines. I'd look at a GM product or possibly one of those foreign jobs.
I have had no problems getting dealers here in KY to sell for invoice-rebates. You can calcuate invoice price at autos.yahoo.com even down to the options. If you have any problems with it PM me.
