What is YOUR vision?

Just came across something that I thought I would share with all of you.

To realize our true destiny, we must be guided not by a myth from our past, but by a vision of our future.
Mark B. Adams

So my challenge to all who read this, what is YOUR vision of YOUR future and what are you actively doing to make that vision happen? Or are you just waiting for things to happen daily and reacting to them?

As the Amirican life as you knew it is steadily disintegrating around you, what are YOU doing to become proactive for your future and the future of your family? It is no longer sufficient to be reactive in daily life.

Sunday July 19th 2009, Local Gun Show Lafayette, Louisiana

Purchased 2000 rnds of 7.62x39 to bring the count up to 5000 rnds.

Purchased 1000 rnds of .45acp, count at 2200 rnds.

Left Gun show, went to local gunsmith.

Picked up 7.62x54R Nagant that little brother had order for me on a trade. Also collected the 2000 rnds of 7.62x54R that went with the trade.

Afternooon of above.

Sat around B.S.ing with little brother, Dad and best friend about self survival in the event of a catastrophy. Detailed what it would take to become self sufficient and provide for our family and our limited community. Grilled steaks, drank a beer.

Im already preparing for the worst.

In the meantime, trying to alleviate as much debt as possible, and save as much money as possible while its still worth something.

LOL, blake sounds like me. I got 1000 rds of 12 ga. shot gun ammo. 1000 rds of .223 ammo. 1500 rds of 7.62x54r for my mosin-nagants. Dont know how much .22 ammo but it is over 50 lbs worth. about 250 rds of win. .270 ammo ( need to stock up on). Also add a few boxes of .17 hmr.

btw: those nagants are crazy, for 100 bucks you can pick up a rifle that will shoot through 1/2inch flat steel no problem.

This evening went to a good old american demolition derby where EVERYBODY sang the national anthem. Afterwards we went to the beer garden and drank beer and listened to a local band and some Garth Brooks. It was a good night. I am sad to see what this country has become though I am still proud to be an American.

Oops, when I posted this I was not aiming to have you guys post your vision in public, but more to get y'all doing some serious thinking about where you have been, where you are now and where you want to go in the future. If you are married, then include your family in that vision.

If you really want something that will get you thinking about vision of the future and the direction our country is heading in and what to do about it pick up "Common Sense" by Glenn Beck, I'm reading it now and it's great, his inspiration for it is from a publication by the same name produced in 1776 that was a major player in the start of the revolution.

Not only am I "collecting " ammo like others I am also in the early stages of installing a Micro Hydro system in the creek that runs through my farm. When completed It will produce enough power to completely power my home and garage with power to spare for right around $7k.
I think electrical power will be gone within weeks once the "Crap" hit the fan. Electrical power will be a valuable asset for sure.
