Well, the police say he was really worked up and had sincere feelings for trying to protect his daughter, was really cooperative, actually called the police immediately once he did it.

The dad's response was that he heard screams, he looked in the room, saw the man and his daughter naked, ran to his room to get a gun and shot him in the mans hip and legs. The man escaped and ran down the street to later collapse. He lives and is later found out to be dating the girl.

So the question is what would you do or when is it appropriate that if you came home early one night from work and saw your little girl having sex with some man?

Wade Edwards Catches Daughter Having Sex, Shoots Boyfriend in the *****

Wade Edwards: Naked daughter? Naked boyfriend? Armed dad? You knew this wasn't going to end well.

Wade Edwards arrived at his Apopka, Florida home in mid-afternoon to find his 16-year-old step-daughter. Unfortunately, she was in bed. Naked. With 18-year-old Julian Harp. Also naked.

So dad being a dad, he closed her bedroom door and went to load his gun. Harp quickly deduced that he'd gone from wanted to unwanted guest. But before he could get his *** in high-gear -- the recommended for this situation -- Edwards had returned, gun locked and loaded.

"He said, 'Get out, get out, get out of my house," Officer Ed Chittenden told WESH-TV. "He raised his hands and said, 'Please don't shoot, please don't shoot...'"

But Edwards, as you may have guessed, thought shooting would be a very good idea. Perhaps even therapeutic. So he began blasting away at what police politely call Harp's "pelvic area."

Alas, Dad was unable to score a direct hit on his intended testicular target. Harp was hit four times -- twice in the hips, twice in the femur, whatever that is. Wounded, but make parts securely in tact, Harp managed to limp to the front yard and call 911.

Edwards confessed to the shooting, but claims it was self-defense. He says Harp leaped out at him and he was forced to shoot. But even we here at True Crime Report -- who heartily endorse the shooting of naked men found in your 16-year-old daughter's bed -- aren't buying that excuse.

Let's get this straight, Mr. Edwards. He leaped out at you, right? And in a startled moment of panic, you still managed to get off four shots at his *****?

Yet this still doesn't mean Edwards is guilty. The kid, after all, is expected to fully recover. And that's allowed him to learn a valuable lesson, namely: Never get naked at your girlfriend's dad's house, you %$#@&% moron!

So let's just say it's a teachable moment and call it a day, shall we?

UPDATE: Julian Harp says it only took 10 seconds between when he was caught having sex, and when he could hear his girlfriend's father, Wade Edwards, cocking his gun.

"As soon as I take a couple of steps down the stairs, he's shooting me," Harp told WESH-TV. "When he shot me the second time ... I took off running down the stairs."

Harp said he was shot in the *** as he was fleeing the house. That's when he screamed and collapsed on the sidewalk. "[i] just lying there ... I couldn't do nothing ... my whole body was getting stiff ... turning purple," Harp said.

Doctors pulled bullets from his stomach and thigh, but he's expected to make a full recovery.

Edwards, however, isn't doing so well. He's been charged with attempted murder and is being held without bail.
