I make San Francisco sourdough bread in big round loaves,

Nobody beats mom's zuchini bread, or brown bread(Christmas recipe). The Amish around the corner come close with their raisin bread.

My favorite bread is usually what I can find when Im a wanten some. But Grandma used to make THE BEST bread.. would be litteral fights over the heal when she got 'em out of the oven. HMmm... hot bread heal with butter drippen from it... my mouth is waterin. Course, when grandpa spoke up you moved over and let him have what he wanted... lol. nuff ramblin on.<br><br>Duane.

Alirght, I confess. I have my own bread maker and I search through the local stores for interesting breads to bake up whenever the mood strikes. I generally prefer most oat enhanced breads but there is a potato bread that I fancy once in awhile. Nothing like hot, fresh made bread, with a dollop of melting butter on the slice. 8) 8)<br><br>~Dave

Every July 1st, our town puts on a heritage day where they fire up old clay ovens, grind the wheat from scratch, and make home-made butter to slop on it. Your arteries harden with each bite, but its worth every second of the bypass surgery ;D<br><br>Rod
