I personally would never attempt to prejudge what Jesus would do in any situation since His wisdom is infinitely greater than mine.

Just my humble opinion, of course.

Dude, your on it this morning, did you get the day off or what?

I would submit that if Jesus as he is represented was the President he would

1) Love thy enemy (meaning, I suppose, not kill them as we do so often)

2) Abolish the IRS, as is is all knowing. If you ripped him on your returns he would simply "Strike down upon thee with great vengenance and fury"
(or what ever it was that Samual L. Jackson said in Pulp Fiction.)

I suppose prayer in school would be a non-issue from then on,
this thread is not going to go anywhere, the premise is rather dumb.

Okay, Sheryl Crow gets hotter with age, that is for sure.

I would guess her to be like most Hollywood types, so it wouldn't suprise me to hear her ask such a weird, pointless question.
I guess it's a play on GW and how he appeals so much to the RR (religous right), yet most of them seem to ignore the parts of the good book that don't suit them at the moment.

We would be a very liberal country with Christian values. Everyone from the self righteous right to the self pitying left would be doing some serious overhauling of their priorities.

That's why he was sentenced to death the first time around. And he would meet the same fate today. Do you really believe a scruffy carpenter's son who preaches to and accompany's thieves and prostitutes would be taken more seriously now than then. Imagine the shock when he dashed the accounts of the wealthy to feed the poor. The self righteous would react the very same way. Conspire a smear campaign, present him as a threat to society, build a solid case against him, possibly even frame him with false witness, and sentence him to death.
Yes it is possible but it won't happen in America...

We can rule out a flood. Maybe some fire though.

Jesus did not come into the world to be as the world is. He was not and is not a political figure. The Jews had hoped otherwise but his purpose on earth was not political.

Hoping the Messiah would set up his kingdom on earth and do away with the bad guys was a jewish desire. But Jesus had a greater purpose. He is the atonement for our sins; the way, the truth, and the life. He didn't come to be president and try to save us from ourselves, he came to save us from an eternity in hell.

Liberal, nope, conservative, nope, he is the very creator through which all things came into existance. He is far above any labels we can give him. In fact, when he returns he won't come to America but will come to Israel. He won't come as a conqueoring king but as a groom coming for his bride.

John 3:16 says it all.

Must say, though, if he wanted to get rid of the IRS and ACLU, I would appreciate it.
