what do you think of Ebay not allowing you to rate buyers?

Buyers, you can no longer receive negative or neutral Feedback from sellers.
*You should leave honest and accurate Feedback without the fear of receiving negative or neutral ratings.
i sell a lot, but I don't know how important it is to rate buyers,
I mean, they either pay you, or they don't
i've sold ~300 things on there, and only had ~5 buyers NEVER pay.
and i've been afraid to slam, for fear they would leave me negative feedback
go to ebay and search for EXTORTION, and it's pretty interesting.

I hear yeah, little more experience with over 900 transactions and zero no pay bidders.
don't like what ebay has become. don't get me started on paypal.
ebay has a new thing that negative feedback, even if warranted, cannot be left due to the screen never changing to accept the bad post.
good for the little hard to find items. Canada is overwhelmed with usa sellers, but still has some great folks! pick and choose.
more time for DTR!!!!!!!!!! support this free site each year.....

(of course, i LOVE the one you sent me, so can't razz you too bad)
it's a further symptom of folks not accepting responsibility for their own actions, the downfall of America begins this way.
I guess that means that the sellers can't require a minimum amount of positive feedback in order to be able to bid anymore.
I had wondered why the last few sellers that I bought from hadn't left me feedback yet. Always did hate how so many sellers held feedback hostage until you left them feedback. I mean, come on, you know how I well I held up my part of the transaction before you even ship. I have to wait till I get the item before I know how you did on your part.

Its a good move. Too many times the buyer wants to say how crappy the item was packaged, how crappy the delay was, or how misrepresented the item was... but too often ive seen people get negative feedback that just says "buyer is a lying *beep*".
I just do my part and stay honest and not lie to get more money.. Its kept me at 100% for over 5 years now i think.

I am an EBay newbie and only purchased 1 item (generator for camping) and did not fully grasp the feedback thing. I received a negative feedback and it said "worthless buyer did not leave me positive feedback" When I saw that I was really wondering if the guy just needed his EGO stroked and for me to just post what a wonderful guy he was. Well he was actually a PITA and was not very good a communicating, took my money as soon as I confirmed and did not ship for 4 weeks. So I guess I should have left him a negative feedback but since I was really new I felt it was better to just say nothing as maybe I just did not understand what the typical procedure was. Now I understand it better but it still seems to be geared more for the regular user and not for the guy that only wants to buy something maybe once a year.
