Question What to do with left over Kerosene ??

I used a torpedo style heater in my garage this winter and now have about (4) gallons of Kerosene left over. I don't think it will be good a year from now to use again.

Can I just use it up in my truck ?? If so, in what ratio ??

I don't know why it would go bad but you can use it in your truck just fine. You could probably dump the whole 4 gallons in one full tank of diesel but to be safe just put in a gallon per tank.

I've read that people are putting veggi oil, kerosene, engine oil into their trucks. What WON'T these trucks run off of? Water?

Water and gasoline is about it. I don't know about pure alcohol. In 1st gens. it pretty much depends on fuel lubricity for the injection pump. Gasoline won't run because the octane is to high to allow it to ignite under compression heat.

A diesel can run on straight Kerosene, just dump it in and don't worry about it.

Jet fuel is kerosene, or at least some form of kerosene.

Yes my truck runs water, but only if it is at the right mixture.

Here's the real skinny on alternative fuels. Probably TMI though.

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/diesel_fuel.htm

Basically you don't want to run kerosene in a VE pump straight because it doesn't lube enough. Kerosene in the P7100 pump is ok but add some lube anyway.

Heard about a wife who put gas in a CTD. She's single now.
