I'm running Firefox too and I've noticed it has quite a few annoying little quirks. I get a popup everytime I initially sign on. Have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it so I just click ok and then the page loads. My netbook never did this until today when Firefox did an upgrade and now the netbook is the same as this computer.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Never used that before, but will see what I can do - tomorrow.
Will need to move fast as the purpleish window only comes up for a few seconds. The on on the RH bottom of my screen is there all the time.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I finally figured out what this is. It is part of the Firefox Ghostery addon I installed. No matter what I do, I can't seem to stop the tracking programs, but this addon lets me know whenever I am being tracked and gives me the option of blocking them. OK, I need to block them one by one as they pop up, but every day I get rid of at least one tracker. My blocked list is getting longer.
