We require our welders to use the ventilation hoods anytime they weld outside of the shop.
In addition to supplying fresh air (other than fumes it picks up because the suction line is behind you), it does supply a cooler air under you hood without blowing your shield gasses around.

 

How rugged are those packs and how long do they batteries laston 1 charge ???

we dont abuse our's much, but they do get bumped and banged around.

battery lasts a good 10 hour shift with 15 minute breaks every two hours and a 1/2 hour lunch.
