Jim, I likewise work on various kinds of UPS equipment at our plant. The smallest/oldest units we have left are a pair of 31year old pwm scr type CYBEREX 15kva UPS. I used to have 14 of those things to keep up with! Nowadays the biggest single one we have is a fairly new 50kva Cyberex 3ph transistor inverter unit with 450vdc batt banks . I don't like working on that voltage with bare #2 cable terminations.
I want to change to SMH (andersen) connectors but I am stymied because it is considered a "Change Of Design".. That is the kiss of death to changing anything here, even when it's for the better.
Using those connectors would be so much safer making and breaking the strings into manageable segments... Andersen/SMH have designed the color schemes for virtually every voltage range up thru 125vdc!

I love those connectors! The unique method of over-center/wiping contacts is a really brilliant idea.
