Welded up a mothers day gift

My moms into garden art and stuff, so I had some spare time and some spare sheet metal, so I got to cutting, grinding, and bending and came up with this, lol....

That looks pretty slick man! She will be pretty dang happy! I welded up a horseshoe with a pair of hearts in it for my ex-girlfriend a LOOOONG time ago, it was pretty cool.. lol.

Pretty cool, even with a "patina" it would look good out in the garden. A lot of people pick up welded yard ornaments at craft shows these days.

Well for a guy that makes his living ( I presume) with an excavator, that is a very nice job of fabrication. In my years as a welder/ fabricator I never had it in me to do art, some guys I new did. I always envied there abilities.

I play in the dirt to make money ^, lol. But I really like welding so I thought for once i'd make somthing instead of just buying a card and flowers. It's my first time doing something like that, usually i'm just welding stuff for my excavator and things. I wouldn't mind being a welder, but if u don't have ur own shop, I wouldn't want to be a production welder doing the same things everyday unless the pay was great.

Looks good!!!

I did something similar for my now ex GF for valentines day. She likes dogs so I got a piece of akuminum diamond plate and TIG welded the outline of a dog on it. I hate being so typical like other guys and just buying flowers, something you actually made is much cooler!
