Nope - - out early - - sadly to a funeral for the wife of a friend. She has been going downhill with lung cancer for a year - - never smoked. She died on Tuesday. They were very close and she was a fantastic cook. He will be a lost puppy. Lives close, so maybe can swing by on the bike and harrass him once in a while.
OH YEH, I feel it, bro. Oooozzzzing up my shoes, heading for the socks -- -be to my shorts if I don't get out of here.

All sounds normal around this place. Gorgeous down here - - 71, bright sun, heading for 74 high. Orchids, gardenias and bouganvillea all blooming like crazee.
OK, gonna run - grabbing ph00 and gone.
Bobby

Glad you got them changed Tim. I put the SKF on one side in the rear. They're Chinese but what the heck. I saw in another thread that Snapon actually makes a tool that looks like a deepwell socket to use the power steering to assist in the removal of the bearings. It was in the $45 to $65 range I believe.

It was easy to hammer them out since they were junk anyway. You are correct though, Snap On does have a tool like that. I bought the air hammer attachment for that.
Could you please clarify what you meant by putting a SKF in the rear? forgive my ignorance but I thought the rear had wet service bearings?
TIA

Not on the new job yet, I've actually got a big decision to make. Might have a permanent job where I am at now, don't have a start date for the new one yet, and got called by another rr I worked at to come work for them in the Car repair dept. Whatever move I make will be my last, I'm gonna stay with whatever I choose for the rest of my career. House is coming along just fine and it does feel like home now! My truck even marked it's territory in the garage with the vacuum pump leaking oil!
The wife is liking the new house alot and is getting very excited to start decorating for Christmas soon.Evening DTR, working in the garage tonight. Work was good today and it was pay day! Wife is going out for a girls night so I get the place to myself for a few hours.

Im glad I didnt hit it. Would have been embarrasing to get beat up by a mechanical tree that close to San Francisco.
I had forgotten about that one (This is my first attempt at bugbeding video).
I have a P.O. box for important stuff but I wish the one on the road would explode if somebody other than the postman or myself opens it.

Morning boys.
Did the wheel bearings in my truck last night. I went with the Napa SKF (CR) bearings for $206.00 each. Took 2 hours, the drivers side came right out, the passenger side needed the help of my 6# mini sledge. I am happy to report my vibration Growl is gone. The culprit was the driver side.
Taking the wife to see Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker tonight.
See ya'll tomorrow, (maybe)

You know I love you. wink wink.

Sorry about the loss Bobby. I head out west to the memorial service for our uncle next week. They are expecting close to 1000 people. thankfully they have a private room for family.
I need to hit the rack early. My carcass is telling me its done. Its been tough work since last Sunday...heavy cement blocks, heavy wet dirt, heavy wet snow. Over did it, I think. Not sure what that is really.
Take care fellow DTRonians.
