59-28 Tech over A&M. Feel sorry for Hoss having to drive all that way for such a beating. If t.u. would have lost, would have been the perfect weekend. ;D

The only good thing about that trip was that I got to spend some time with some friends I haven't seen in a long time. Luckily the stench of Lubbock covered up the stink of the Aggie defense. :
I will say this....that was my first game to go to at Lubbock...and the Tech crowd is a VERY hostile and disrespectful crowd. I've been to lots of away games at other places, but the Tech crowd is by far the least civil towards fans of the opposing team. We were harassed from the moment we got in town. :
Even the fans at t.u. are more civil, and they're our arch rivals. Nebraska takes the cake for being a hospitable crowd. Very pleasant place to visit for away games.
Gotta go back into mourning now... :'(
Next week....Baylor....who I felt pretty good about until they knocked off Colorado the other day. We may have our hands full with them next week. What a sad state of affairs... :

9:00 pm game in Lubbock = lots of drunks. But yeah, there are some hostile people at Tech football games. I'm not really sure why, but that's the way it's been since i was there. I think recently what's got them so mad is that time a few years back when a goalpost got dropped on a Aggie with connections, and a bunch of people got in trouble. It used to be t.u. that Tech hated, but after all that went on, I think it's A&M now. I personally think A&M is the lesser of the two evils, #1 being t.u.. A have a bunch of aggie friends, and I had to send out a bunch of e-mails yesterday in case they didn't get a chance to see the score ;D

I don't doubt that alcohol played a part in a lot of the hostility, but I was still surprised. To their credit though, the folks sitting directly in front of me were very friendly....and I also saw some Aggies acting in ways they shouldn't have been as well. I was just surprised at how hostile the crowd as a whole was. :-
